The Partnership Outreach Coordinator will oversee the delivery of culturally appropriate programs and services in Derby and Kununurra, with outreach to Halls Creek, working closely with the Kimberley Community Alcohol and Drug Service. This role involves supervising, mentoring, and supporting remote staff in these locations, ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency while fostering professional growth and leadership development within the team.

A central focus of the role is the design and implementation of Social & Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) programs that are trauma-informed and culturally secure, tailored to meet the needs of clients, participants, families, and community groups. The coordinator will ensure the effective delivery of bespoke programs for Banksia Hill Detention Centre and Rio Tinto, aligning these initiatives with organisational and stakeholder objectives while maintaining compliance with quality standards.

Building and maintaining robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders is critical. This includes collaboration with community leaders and program partners to strengthen community engagement and support networks. Overall, this role involves providing strategic and operational support to our youth services teams, including ALIVE & Kicking Goals! and Together We Ride, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment that emphasises efficient program delivery, staff wellbeing, and achieving meaningful outcomes for program participants.

Responsibilities

· Implement and manage evaluation processes over various programs.

· Manage, supervise, and support remote staff based in Derby and Kununurra, ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency.

· Provide clinical and administrative supervision for staff involved in case management, ensuring their practice aligns with organisational standards.

· Develop and oversee culturally appropriate programs tailored to the needs of clients, families, and community groups in Derby, Kununurra, and Halls Creek.

· Collaborate with local stakeholders, including community leaders and partner organisations, to ensure programs are culturally secure and aligned with community needs.

· Oversee the design and delivery of programs at Banksia Hill Detention Centre, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the setting and its participants.

· Manage and oversee the development and delivery of programs in collaboration with Rio Tinto, ensuring alignment with organisational and partner objectives.

· Implement and manage evaluation processes over various programs.

Staff leadership, teamwork, and relationships

· Provide strategic leadership for the Youth Services programs and staff.

· Work effectively in your role to maintain supportive, cooperative, and positive relationships within the MOSAC team and other external agencies.

· Participate in all Youth Services team meetings.

· Develop and maintain strong networks with outside stakeholders.

Administration

· Identify and deliver continuous improvement in service delivery.

· Ensure all administrative commitments are completed in an on-time basis.

· Ensure all funding reporting and compliance timeframes are adhered to.

· Ensure portal reporting and CORIS data input by staff is up to date and at professional standards.

· Oversee the development of policies and procedures for the program.

· Manage expenditure in line with budgets.

Other

Other duties as directed by the Team Leader-Youth Services and Manager Family Outreach Service.

Knowledge and Experience

· Significant experience managing a youth team, in a similar setting

· Demonstrated effectiveness in working successfully with Aboriginal staff.

· Understand the issues, services and legislation affecting the delivery of health and SEWB programs related to Aboriginal Youth in the Kimberley, youth engagement programs, including counselling and case management.

· Skills and capacity to engage with government and non-government stakeholders relevant to the programs.

· Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook/email

· Experience in the successful delivery of funded programs to achieve an evaluated outcome delivery.

· Ability to communicate effectively in the Kimberley cultural context

Qualifications and/or training:

· Qualifications in the fields of youth work, health, wellbeing, community services or counselling

· Extensive previous experience working in this field

· Current / Ability to obtain Department of Correctives Services Clearance

· Current Western Australian “C” class driver’s license

Ability to undertake all training required for MOSAC staff

Desirable Skills:

· Knowledge of Kimberley agencies and appropriate support services for the client group

· Apply First Aid Certificate, or ability to attain one
