Your part in our UnitingCare team
We are currently seeking to appoint a Family Counsellor to work as a part of our UnitingCare Qld Targeted Family Support Program based in Townsville on a full-time basis.
This position provides a holistic response to the needs of each individual in the family and to the family unit as a whole. The Family Counsellor will provide assessment, counselling support and referral options to families, parents and young people and/or workshops as appropriate.
What makes a difference for us?
Tertiary qualifications in a human services or related field and demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through substantial experience in working with children and families
Current Drivers Licence
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Sound knowledge of and demonstrated ability to utilise therapeutic processes and practices including the ability to analyse, evaluate and make objective judgments and recommendations
