Remuneration: $106k + 11.5 % Super + $15,900 & $2,650 for meals & entertainment

Your part in our UnitingCare team
We are currently seeking to appoint a passionate and motivated Service Leader to join our Out of Home Care team on a full time basis.
In this position, you will manage a team of Youth Workers, coordinating the day-to-day operations of our residential care service for young people living in out of home care. You will provide mentoring, coaching and supervision to teams in alignment with the CARE model for practice.
Supplementing this you will ensure our service is working in accordance with the CARE model, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and families by taking a therapeutic centred approach.
What makes a difference for us?
You will have demonstrated experience leading a team that works with children and youth within a therapeutic care environment who have suffered abuse or neglect and are on statutory child protection or juvenile justice orders.
You will also be able to build strong relationships with young people yourself, as well as hold the following:
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science).
Experience incorporating the six CARE Principles when supporting Children and Young People, or reflection on how you would incorporate these into your team’s practice
A Current Blue Card (Working with Children)
A QLD Driver's Licence
First Aid and CPR Qualifications
Willing to undergo a personal history check under the provision of the child protection Act 1999 in relation to licensing Care Services
Willingness to be part of a regular OnCall Roster
Please note, that as part of UnitingCare’s commitment to professional development and provision of trauma informed care, successful candidates will be paid to attend training in person for TCI, CARE and Three Pillars of transforming care.
