About the role
Mater Private Hospital Redland are currently seeking experienced Anaesthetics & Recovery Registered Nurse's to join our Perioperative Services team. This position is covering maternity leave, where the successful applicant will secure a Max-Term 12mth contract, where you will work 16 - 24hours a week
Mater Redland Perioperative Unit specialises in surgical procedures including gynaecology, general surgery, orthopaedics, plastics, urology, ophthalmology, and endoscopy. The team prides itself on giving the highest standards of care to our patients and outstanding clinical support to our team of surgeons and anaesthetists.
Salary range: $41.73 - $53.53 per hour (Registered Nurse Level 1) plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care while acting as patient advocate
- Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients during perioperative journey
- Provide effective management of post anaesthesia and postoperative complications
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
You will be driven by a challenging yet rewarding environment where you can bring your energy and experience to this dynamic area.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Experience working as an anaesthetics nurse and recovery nurse
- ALS Certification desirable
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision making skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times
