About the Role:
This casual position offers the opportunity to transition to permanent part-time for the right candidate.
Current roster requirements include:
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
Rotating Saturdays (8am–1pm) — enjoy your weekend afternoons!
Supporting Puppy Preschool sessions
(Please note: roster is subject to change based on clinic needs.)
Our clinic hours are 7:30am–6:00pm Monday to Friday & Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm — no late nights here!
💰 Pay rate: $30–$37/hour (casual), based on experience
This is a reception-only role and does not involve nursing duties, though for the right candidate studying or qualified in veterinary nursing, there may be the opportunity to explore a hybrid role (e.g., one nursing day per week) in the future.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Greeting clients and pets with warmth and energy
Managing phones, bookings, and general enquiries
Acting as the communication bridge between clients and the veterinary team
Processing payments and handling general admin tasks
Managing reception area and consult room upkeep
Responding to emails and supporting our social media presence
Educating clients on front-of-house products
Assisting with events like Puppy Preschool & community events

Confidence on the phone and face-to-face with clients
A natural multitasker who thrives under pressure
Highly organised and forward-thinking in your approach
A growth mindset — willing to step outside your comfort zone and learn
A team player who’s also confident working independently
Not afraid of financial or sensitive conversations when needed — you’ll handle these with empathy and professionalism
Someone who doesn’t shy away from a challenge and brings resilience to every shift
