Feeling stuck or boxed in?
Too often, Business Analysts are handed a tiny slice of the puzzle, asked to write a few user stories, and kept at arm’s length from strategy and execution. You’re capable of so much more and you know it.
Maybe you're in a big company where change is slow, or every decision needs five sign-offs. Or maybe you're in a role where the work is fine but you're itching to build something more meaningful, with broader scope, less red tape, and leadership that actually helps you develop and values your input.
If that sounds like you, this could be the career opportunity worth exploring further.
What you’ll do:
You’ll report to the Head of IT and act as the bridge between the business and technology teams, helping shape and deliver a busy project roadmap. You’ll work across several major initiatives, including a new HR platform, a GRC and compliance tool, a full Windows 11 rollout, and a significant revamp of insurance platforms.
You’ll be hands on and:
- Dive deep into business processes, uncover needs, and shape solutions.
- Translate ideas into clear, practical technical documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams, vendors and exec stakeholders.
- Help design and test systems, not just gather requirements; and
- Have real input into how projects are shaped, sequenced and delivered
And because you’re joining a small, high-trust team, you’ll be close to decision-makers and have the flexibility to adjust and evolve as priorities shift.
What makes this role different?
- Breadth. You won’t be stuck on a single workstream. You’ll get variety and breadth of experiences.
- Visibility. You’ll work directly with senior leaders and business heads.
- Flexibility. True hybrid model – 50% WFH, 50% office.
- Impact. Your work will actually shape how things are done.
- Culture. Collaborative, friendly, and non-political. It’s about the work, not the ego.
Who you’ll do it for:
You’ll be joining a purpose-driven organisation in the insurance sector that’s been supporting their client base for over 20 years. They operate as a mutual, owned by its members and reinvesting any surplus back into services that deliver long-term value and impact.
With around 140 employees and a flat, collaborative structure, you’ll get the kind of exposure, autonomy and breadth that’s rare in larger or more hierarchical environments. It’s a place where you can shape your own role, work closely with senior leadership, and contribute to initiatives that genuinely matter to the people and communities the organisation serves.
What you’ll need to bring:
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst.
- Experience in regulated industries like insurance, health or finance.
- Strong technical literacy, you understand how systems work.
- Solid skills in process mapping, technical documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Exposure to tools like SQL or Power BI.
- Understanding of SDLC, system integration and methodologies like Agile/Waterfall; and
- The ability to adapt, learn fast, and just get stuck in.
