About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic medical professional to join the Ophthalmology Department at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality outpatient and inpatient care under the guidance of experienced consultants. You will actively contribute to clinical practice within the department, ensuring patients receive safe, timely and effective treatment in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

As a key member of the clinical team, you will also play an important role in the supervision and teaching of junior medical staff, helping to foster professional growth and uphold the highest standards of care. You’ll participate in departmental teaching activities and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture within the Ophthalmology Unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your clinical skills while making a meaningful contribution to patient outcomes and staff development.

About You

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled medical professional who brings both clinical expertise and a commitment to quality care, with a focus on patient-centred service.

MBBS or equivalent degree, registered with AHPRA, with strong clinical practice.

Proven experience in supervising and teaching junior medical staff in a team environment.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on patient and family relationships.

A demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, professional integrity, and adaptability to change.
