The Position

Environmental Industries is seeking an experienced heavy duty diesel Mechanic for our Canning Vale based operations. This position is offered on a Casual or Part-time or Full-time basis (Fulltime/Part-time Rate: $60/hour. Casual Rate: $75/hour). Workdays are Monday to Friday, ideally starting at 6am with an early finish, however we are open to alternative or flexible arrangements.

You will be repairing, servicing and maintaining our fleet (100 vehicles and 100 other mobile plant of modern equipment and vehicles including but not limited to utes, trucks, tractors, and mobile plant.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic

Previous experience working in a medium size organisation in a similar role

Ability to carry out service and repairs on a broad range of makes and models of vehicles and machinery

Diagnose faults

Follow correct procedures and guidelines

Excellent communication skills

Professional and positive attitude, who works well in a team environment

National Police Clearance (within last 6 months)

Tickets, Licenses and Qualifications:

Certificate III Agriculture Mechanical Technology, or III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a Cert III or IV in Automotive Mechanical (or similar trade qualification)

Drivers License. MR preferred but not essential

Forklift Ticket preferred but not essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, continual improvement and quality initiatives, and be able to pass a National Police Clearance.
