Key Responsibilities:
Support and guide children's development in accordance with the Montessori philosophy and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Foster a calm, respectful, and stimulating learning environment that promotes positive social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Plan, prepare, and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support holistic learning and child-led exploration.
Engage children through storytelling, reading, and interactive play to promote communication and language development.
Supervise children during daily routines and recreational activities to ensure their safety, security, and wellbeing.
Ability to work as a part of a diverse team and deliver high-quality educational programs tailored to individual learning needs.
Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including supporting hygiene practices and encouraging children’s self-care and independence.
Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow workers, fostering a strong sense of community and trust.
Essential Qualifications
Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA recognised).
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, and Child Protection (RRHAN-EC/Child Safe Environments) Certifications.
Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
You must have a Minimum of 1 year experience (full time or part time equivalent) in working as a child care worker in a child care setting.
Respect and understanding of diverse cultures, families and individual children's needs.
Proficiency in using computers and relevant software to document children's learning and development.
