The Role
Centrecare is offering a flexible opportunity for an experienced Financial Counsellor to join our team to choose a base location that suits your lifestyle and career goals.

• $10,500 Zone Allowance pre annuum in addition to salary
• Accommodation support of $300 per week for the first 12 weeks

• Perth based with occasional travel between four to six weekly visits to Kalgoorlie to support remote clients, or
• Kalgoorlie based full time - enjoy a vibrant regional lifestyle and receive:

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver casework support and financial counselling services (in person and remotely).
• Assess and evaluate clients’ financial circumstances to identify practical solutions.
• Advocate on behalf of clients and negotiate with creditors as required.
• Provide community education and financial literacy support.
• Maintain accurate and compliant case records.
• Engage in occasional travel to meet clients and deliver outreach (if Perth-based).

Selection Criteria

• Diploma of Financial Counselling or equivalent qualification.
• Membership or eligibility for membership with the Financial Counsellors Association of WA.
• At least 2 years’ experience in financial counselling, preferably including remote/rural contexts.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a remote caseload.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
