About the role

Join Safety Step Australia near Lismore in the beautiful Northern Rivers NSW as a full-time Manufacturing Process Technician in the FRP industry. In this hands-on role, you'll be part of a small team responsible for the production of world leading fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) anti-slip products, ensuring they meet rigorous quality standards for both Australian and export markets.

What you'll be doing

Operate and maintain FRP manufacturing equipment, including resin mixing, laminating, and moulding machines

Prepare raw materials and follow standardised production processes to fabricate FRP parts and components

Inspect finished products to verify compliance with specifications and quality control measures

Identify and troubleshoot any production issues, implementing corrective actions as needed

Collaborate with the production team to optimise workflows and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Adhere to all workplace health and safety guidelines and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Above all, we are looking for reliability, honesty and the ability to learn new skills and processes.

Previous experience as a Manufacturing Technician or in a similar production role would be an advantage but if you are ready to learn new skills then we will teach you all the job requires.

Proficiency in operating light equipment and familiarity with production processes

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control

Ability to follow standardized operating procedures

Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Good communication and teamwork abilities

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications would be highly regarded
