The Accounts Receivable role is a key component of the NightOwl finance team, collaborating closely with the Financial Controller and various departments to ensure accurate financial record-keeping. This role supports financial accuracy and requires a proactive mindset to achieve key financial goals.

The role will include but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the accounts receivable ledger.

Keep track of outstanding invoices and ensure timely debt repayments.

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions.

Communicate with clients regarding billing issues and queries.

Prepare and present reports detailing accounts receivable status.

Prepare relevant monthly reports and balance sheet reconciliations

Assist in general financial management and analysis.

Cooperate with the accounting and finance department to improve financial processes.

Contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.

Conduct debtor follow-ups via phone and email

Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies liaising with both client and internal teams.

Work closely with the finance and operational teams

Assist with continuous improvement of receivables processes and reporting.

The ideal candidate:

2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, with strong reconciliation skills preferred.

Accounts payable experience is highly desirable.

Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with NetSuite (highly regarded).

Strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organisational skills, with the capacity to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
