About the role.
The Industrial Relations Branch is seeking a new Senior Associate, Research, within the Bargaining and Legal Strategy team.
As the Senior Associate, Research, you will provide expert analysis and advice on remuneration and employment conditions, ensuring that government and organisational decisions are informed by robust data and insights. Conducting research on public sector remuneration trends-both within NSW and interstate-you will support bargaining strategies and workforce planning initiatives.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality reports, expert insights, and data-driven recommendations, identifying emerging workforce trends through research and networking. Your contributions will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of industrial strategies and policies.

We're Looking For
- Remuneration Analysis & Industrial Relations: Expertise in remuneration analysis, industrial relations, and employment conditions within the public sector
- Legislative & Policy Knowledge: Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and government policies affecting workforce remuneration and conditions
- Research & Strategic Advice: Experience in conducting research, analysing data, and providing strategic advice to support bargaining
- High-Quality Report Preparation: Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise reports, briefs, and correspondence for senior-level decision-making
- Relevant Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in industrial relations, economics, law, or a related field
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business analysts, senior decision-makers, and external stakeholders
