We are currently seeking a Service Support - Technician/Mechanic to join our Coomera, Qld facility. This is a exciting opportunity for a technician/mechanic to advance their career to the next level where interacting with customers directly providing technical support and assistance both in field and from an office environment.

The position is suited to a person who is a self starter that can work with minimal supervision. A person that can liase with other members of our engineering team based through out Australia. Sharing ideas and thoughts that will benefit both the end user and Power Equipment equally.

Power Equipment is the Exclusive Australian, New Zealand and South Pacific Distributor for Yanmar and John Deere diesel engines for Marine, Industrial and Agriculture applications ranging from 5HP to 2000HP. We are seeking the services of a competent - Technician/Mechanic. Ideally you will have several years in field experience. The role is exposed to a variety of engines and applications so be prepared for a challenge.

The successful candidate will report to the Engineering & Aftersales Manager.

Sound knowledge of the following are a pre requisite

• Common Rail Diesel engine experience
• Electronic Engine, fault finding, testing and programming
• Warranty Diagnosis
• Inspect and Review Engine Installations to ensure they conform to all standards outlined by OEM
• Providing Technical assistance to end users/dealers and OEM’s

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience in the Diesel Engine service/support environment.
• Qualified diesel mechanic/fitter with 5 years experience
• Competent in use of Microsoft
• Quality of the work produced must be of high standard
• Demonstrated ability to complete company projects on time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have a great attitude, reliable and have a high level of initiative
• An ability to apply and adhere to OH&S in the workplace
