Essjay Contracting Pty Ltd, a well-established earthmoving company based in Rockhampton, is seeking skilled and experienced operators for a range of ongoing civil and mining projects in the Rockhampton region. We have multiple positions available for immediate start, offering both FIFO and DIDO options, with camp or accommodation provided. Rosters for upcoming projects are 10/4 and 14/7.

Final Trim Excavator Operators – GPS experience essential

Final Trim Dozer Operators – GPS experience essential

Final Trim Grader Operators – GPS experience essential

Moxy Operators

Roller Operators / Labourers

HR Water Truck Operators – Bulk Water RII required

Float Driver – Must hold an MC Licence

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate heavy machinery as required across various project stages

Conduct pre-start checks and minor maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety

Work closely with supervisors and crew to meet project deadlines

Maintain compliance with all safety policies and procedures

Contribute to a positive team environment and provide high-quality outcomes for our clients

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a civil or mining operations role

Relevant machinery tickets or certifications

Construction White Card (General Induction)

Current Australian Driver’s Licence

Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork

A proactive approach to safety and the ability to identify and mitigate risks

Physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

Flexibility to assist with other site tasks as required
