About us
We are a family-owned business who have been running in the valley for over 70 years. We offer stability in long term employment with our strong reputation within the industry. The position is full time hours 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday as Casual with some weekends 9.00am to 1.00pm. Permanent position will be given after performance review. Qualifications & experience
Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in the flooring or home improvement industry.
Knowledge of different types of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, and tile.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to work with minimal supervision.
Basic math skills for measuring rooms and calculating material estimates. Project management, follow tasks through to completion.
computer literacy.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to lift and carry flooring samples and other merchandise as needed.
Flexibility to work weekends and have a drivers licence.
Tasks & responsibilities
Provide assistance to customers in selecting and purchasing flooring & window furnishing materials. Processing sales transactions, and providing excellent customer service.
Answer questions regarding the store's products, services, and pricing.
Provide product information, including features, benefits, and warranty information. Assist customers in selecting flooring materials or window furnishings based on their needs, preferences, and budget.
Process sales transactions & quotations accurately using Business Operating Systems. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the showroom, including arranging displays and restocking inventory. Answering phone calls and replying to emails.
Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets. Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues. Pursue all sales leads to completion.
Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor offerings.
