Uber has recently launched Uber Direct, a last-mile, on-demand, delivery service for business

customers. The last-mile delivery market is estimated to be worth upwards of $7.5b AUD in

Australia, with rapidly increasing consumer preference for on-demand services. Uber Direct has

the potential to support on-demand delivery across a range of customer verticals - restaurants,

supermarkets, non-food retailers, and many more use cases yet to be discovered.

In this role, you will build and maintain excellent operational processes, conduct data analysis and insights

generation, and support the growth of Uber Direct with projects. This is a dynamic role. You’ll need

to be willing to both roll up your sleeves, and lead high profile, complex initiatives at the same

time.

Start Date: ASAP. 6 month placement.

Location: Melbourne

Start and Finish Times: preferred to work up to 38 hours per week as you're trained (Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm)

Uniform: Business Casual

Pay rate: $46.83/hr + super

What You’ll Do:

- Manage the day-to-day operational tasks that are required to keep the Uber Direct

product running smoothly

- Conduct data analysis and provide actionable insights and recommendations

- Build and maintain dashboards for business reporting and performance tracking

- Develop new processes and tools and optimize existing ones

- Monitor operational performance of Uber Direct, and identify opportunities for

improvement

- Collaborate with a diverse group of cross-functional team members to deliver best in

class reliability and analytical reporting

- Support Operations projects across Delivery Operations and Merchant Operations

What You’ll Need:

- A proven track record; we are looking for someone 3+ years experience (can be partially

through university coursework), with strong analytical skills, excellent problem solving

skills and experience with data-driven decision-making

- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving working environment

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn new processes and tools quickly

- Proactivity, always looking for continuous improvement opportunities

- Strong planning and organisational skills

- Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities

- Must be proficient/advances with Google Sheets and SQL
