About the role

As a Horizontal Directional Drill Operator at Pro-tech civil contracting, you will play a crucial role in the company's construction projects. This full-time position in Bendigo, Victoria, involves operating specialised drilling equipment to install underground utilities with minimal disruption to the surrounding environment.

What you'll be doing

Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment to install pipelines, cables, and other utilities underground

Perform pre-drilling site assessments and plan the drilling path

Monitor drilling operations, making adjustments as needed to ensure the safety and efficiency of the project

Maintain drilling equipment, including performing routine checks and repairs

Collaborate with the construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards

Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the job site

What we're looking for

Proficient in the use of horizontal directional drilling equipment and associated tools

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment

Valid driver's licence HR licence preferred but not essential and construction industry experience an advantage
