Design & Build are proud to again partner with Icon construction to source multiple supervisors to assist in the dlivery of their diverse Melbourne based projects.

We are aiming to talk with experienced commercial site supervisors from all states & territories to ensure the delivery of the very best Australian talent.

With projects in South Yarra, Hampton, Prahran, Port Melbourne, Flemington, Footscray, Brooklyn, Box Hill & The CBD fringe they are able to offer flexibility to candidates based across most Melbourne suburbs.

The Successful candidates will have a track record of working with leading subcontractors collaboratively, ensuring timely delivery of projects with minimal distruption to programme & cost.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Conducting site inductions for staff and sub-contractors
• Managing the subcontractors to ensure they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities
• Monitor subcontractor performance daily in regards to safety, quality and programme and report deficiencies to the Site Manager
• Assisting the Site Manager in the commissioning and handover of the project by ensuring all relevant documentation is completed and provided to the Project Manager
• Managing cost control for certain aspects of the project, as directed by the Site Manager, in order to ensure the project meets its required performance targets in relation to budget

Desired experience:

• Relevant Trade background
• Previous experience working for a head contractor is essential on Commercial builds larger than $50m
• Experience working on commercial projects is highly desirable
• Proven experience as a Structures, Finishes, facades, fit out or civil Foreman working on commercial projects from start to finish.
• Proven experience of effectively managing a team including sub-contractors, in a professional manner and ensuring longevity of relationships.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and requirements, has proven experience of effectively controlling site safety
