Location - Multiple locations across the City including Reedy Creek and Stapyton Capex Projects
Award Classification - Stream A, Level 7
Salary - $122,133.03 - $129,262.35
Hours - 40 hours, 10 Day Fortnight
About the team
City of Gold Coast, Waste and Resource Recovery Planning team is seeking a highly skilled Landfill Engineer to lead projects, provide technical expertise, and deliver sustainable, innovative solutions for the City. This is a key role within the team where you will contribute to the future of landfill cell design.
About your new role
Lead landfill design, engineering projects from inception through to completion.
Oversee technical assessments and site investigations to develop solutions for landfill operations, including leachate, gas management, and final capping.
Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and regulatory compliance documents.
Ensure projects meet environmental standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of projects.
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards.
We're looking for people who have:
5 years of experience in landfill engineering, including expertise in landfill design, operations, and closure.
Strong knowledge of landfill engineering principles, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
Demonstrated experience in managing landfill engineering projects and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
Proven ability to engage effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in managing risk and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
