Technical leadership role reporting to the Technical Services Manager

Fulltime based in Tennyson, Brisbane with occasional Travel

Experience with sewage treatment plants, small plant upgrades project management, irrigation systems, and stormwater assessments/modelling is highly desirable.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Water & Wastewater Engineer who can be involved our engineering and scientific projects especially in critical areas such as design, modelling, treatment plant operations, troubleshooting, feasibility/engineering studies, QA/QC and new service development in a consultancy setting.

To excel in this role, you will need to hold a degree in Chemical, Process or Environmental Engineering. RPEQ registration is preferred. Equally important, you will demonstrate the key success attributes that define our most accomplished engineers:

You are very practical and enjoy the hands-on aspects of industrial engineering

An ability to analyse technical data and communicate your findings to a wide range of stakeholders

You are known to be proactive when it comes to helping others to be successful

Easily understand complex information and readily make reliable interpretations

Attention to detail is a natural ability of yours, you always check to make sure there are no errors

You have an underlying competitive streak and can at times be demanding, but you do not come across as difficult or aggressive

You are an active listener, not an active talker

While you welcome some structure, you need the freedom to be innovative and to not be constrained

Ability to foresee what could go wrong and act early to mitigate any potential downside

A timely decisionmaker that relies mainly on intuition and objectivity

An independent engineer that understands the importance of collaboration
