Jubilee Christian College is an independent Christian School located in Atherton, Far North Queensland, about 80km inland from Cairns, on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Secondary English Teacher to fill a full-time position at our school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons to secondary students, from a Biblical Worldview, both in a classroom and potentially via distance education.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to secondary students, following the Queensland curriculum guidelines.

Develop and implement creative teaching methods to engage distance education students effectively.

Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments and assessments.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that aligns with our Christian values.

Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students' learning and well-being.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent teaching qualification.

Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).

Experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably in a distance education setting.

Strong understanding of the Queensland curriculum and assessment frameworks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Passion for Christian education and a commitment to nurturing students' spiritual and moral development.

Ability to effectively use technology for remote teaching and communication.

Ideally, the candidate will possess knowledge of online learning platforms and will have experience in distance education, although this is not a pre-requisite
