Jubilee Christian College is an independent Christian School located in Atherton, Far North Queensland, about 80km inland from Cairns, on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. JCC provides high-quality, P-12 education, on campus in Atherton and via distance education across Queensland.

We are looking for an innovative educator who can share their passion for Secondary Science with our enthusiastic students at our Atherton Campus, to commence in 2025, with the potential for an earlier start date for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons to secondary students, from a Biblical Worldview.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons to secondary students, following the Queensland curriculum guidelines.

Develop and implement creative teaching methods to engage distance education students effectively.

Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments and assessments.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that aligns with our Christian values.

Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students' learning and well-being.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent teaching qualification.

Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).

Experience teaching Science at the secondary level.

Strong understanding of the Queensland curriculum and assessment frameworks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Passion for Christian education and a commitment to nurturing students' spiritual and moral development.

Ability to effectively use technology for teaching and communication.
