About the role

We are looking for a Production Assistant to join our manufacturing team at Orchy & Co Pty Ltd in our Thornlands, Queensland facility. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production processes and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

• Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure efficient and consistent output
• Perform quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards
• Assist in the setup, cleaning, and maintenance of production machinery
• Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks
• Maintain detailed records and documentation related to the production process
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing operations
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Production Assistant or in a similar manufacturing role
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate production equipment
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
• Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• A reliable and proactive work ethic
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in manufacturing or a related field would be an advantage
