Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing our clients' taxation matters – including personal tax returns, SMSF accounting and reconciliation. A high proportion of our client’s own investment properties with many having dual ownership structures like personal & SMSF.

This role is offered on a part-time basis (20-25 hours ideally school hours / split over 4-5 days). 100% working from home.

Responsibilities:

· Preparing tax returns and financial statements for all entities (SMSF, companies, trusts, individuals)

· Assisting with SMSF audit file documentation and communication with appointed auditors

· Communicating with clients around taxation matters

· Basic administration where required

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

CPA or CA qualification preferred, but not essential.

Minimum 2 years of experience working in an Australian accounting practice.

Strong understanding of Xero & Class

A robust grasp of depreciation and property-related concerns for clients completing ITR.
