About the Position
We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic people who share our values and commitment to join our organisation.
Successful applicants will support individuals to live a valued and meaningful life, connected to their chosen community, by working collaboratively as a member of a Support Team and in partnership with the individual and their families.
Montagu is based in Moonah, Tasmania, and provides a friendly, flexible and family focused working environment.
Disability Support Workers equate to Level 2 of the SCHADS Award, and are initially casual positions offering opportunities across various shifts including early mornings, afternoons, split-shifts, sleepovers and weekends.
Essential Requirements:
Certificate III qualification in Disability or other relevant qualification and/or relevant experience
Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration including Worker Endorsement
Access to Smart Phone or another device with Internet Access
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
Access to vehicle for work purposes, comprehensive insurance and a valid Tasmanian Car Driver’s Licence
Desirable:
Current accreditation in Medication Administration, First Aid, Manual Handling, or the capacity to gain competency within the first 3 months of employment.
Skills and Experience:
Candidates are required to be well organised, have a good understanding of the disability sector including NDIS objectives and processes, great interpersonal skills, knowledge of relevant legislation, good administrative skills, and well-developed computer skills.
