About the position

We are looking for a Secondary Science Teacher, suitable to teach Years 7 to 10 students. Ability to also Teach Mathematics or Information Technology will be advantageous. The selected teacher will have proven experience to prepare the teaching plans based on the V9 Australian curriculum in consultation with the Curriculum Coordinator. The selected teacher will prepare, develop and deliver engaging educational instruction to students from a varied age and ability range. This role includes developing lesson plans, coordinating classroom setup, assessing student academic achievement, and inspiring a passion for learning. Suitable candidates will have creativity, a deep respect for teaching, and the ability to lead the development of creativity within students.

• Formulate and develop an all-inclusive curriculum according to education standards and make it suitable for all learners.
• Develop lesson plans that reflect meaningful engagement in various techniques, styles, and media.
• Create a healthy and inclusive class atmosphere, setting the stage for being open to trying anything and welcoming creativity.

Essential Selection Criteria

Teaching Qualification, normally a Degree in Education, from an Australian University.

Suitable Accreditation (Full or Provisional Registration) of the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI)

Previous teaching experience as a Science teacher.

Excellent communication and suitable interpersonal skills.

Ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages and different backgrounds.

Aware of recent tendencies and the use of technologies in educational processes.

Salary & Allowances

$90,000 - $125,000

Up to $5,000 as Relocation Allowance to some candidates
