Job description:
We are seeking an Engagement & Change Lead to join our Technology Office. In this pivotal role, you will lead capability development and engagement strategies that empower both our internal technology teams and the wider research community.
You will develop and deliver targeted programs to improve IT, cybersecurity, data, and digital literacy across the Institute, helping researchers access the tools and knowledge they need to thrive. Your leadership will contribute directly to achieving a high level of capability maturity across the organisation.

Your responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the Technology Office's learning, training, and engagement needs and requirements
- Developing and implementing educational approaches and materials that continue to upskill the Technology team's professional capabilities, and researcher's uptake of technology best practice
- Increasing general technology literacy across the Institute
- Creating and using a range of fit-for-purpose media to support self-directed engagement
- Identifying and addressing gaps with the development of new content
About You:
You are a proactive and strategic thinker with a passion for education, technology, and collaboration. You excel in translating complex technical concepts into engaging, accessible learning experiences. You thrive in cross-functional teams and are confident leading programs that support meaningful change.
Collaborate for Impact:
You'll work closely with departments across the Institute, as well as partners across the broader Children's Campus — including the Royal Children's Hospital and the University of Melbourne — to amplify the reach and relevance of our education and engagement initiatives.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in education/training
- Demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of education solutions and materials
- Demonstrated experience in change management
- Ability to identify skills gaps and turn into learning and development solutions
