About the role
The Allied Health Engagement Lead is a new role centred on establishing and maintaining strong relationships between Western Victoria Primary Health Network and allied health professionals in the region. Utilising the National PHN Allied Health in Primary Care Engagement Framework as a roadmap for increased and collaborative ways of working with our allied health stakeholders, this role will undertake active engagement with private and public allied health providers, as well as relevant peak bodies.
The Allied Health Engagement Lead will also be responsible for the design and delivery of key allied health practice support activities, in collaboration with internal and external Primary Health Network teams.
This is a hybrid role: working from anywhere in the western Victoria region, with travel required for training, team days, and stakeholder engagement.
Duties include:
Actively engage with private and public allied health providers, as well as relevant peak bodies
Lead the implementation of the National Allied Health Practice Engagement Toolkit to allied health professionals in the region
Manage and deliver allied health support activities to build the capacity of allied health clinicians to deliver high performing primary care services
Provide direct supervision to Practice Engagement staff, including developing work plans and conducting the annual performance appraisal cycle
Key Selection Criteria includes:
Tertiary qualifications in health, human services, or other discipline related to allied health, and/or relevant professional experience
Knowledge of the broader primary health service system and related activities
Excellent skills and strong experience in the development and maintenance of relationships and networks
Proven ability to consistently deliver key tasks within allocated timeframes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal

Employment requirements:
Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to appointment
A current Victorian driver’s licence
