About the role
Yarra Ranges Council is seeking a Community Safety Regional Lead to join our Safer Communities team. This role ensures the effective and efficient operations of our Licence Plate Recognition Parking Program, Paid Parking Program, and Reactive Parking Programs.
The position will involve direct supervision of various Community Safety services, including animal management, Local Laws, Fire Hazard Inspection, and proactive programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and support for the Licence Plate Recognition Parking Program, Paid Parking Program, and Reactive Parking Programs.
Assist the Community Safety Coordinator in implementing operational policies, procedures, and programs.
Perform duties such as proactive parking patrols, use of parking equipment, and enforcement of the Road Safety Road Rules.
Rotate through portfolios that may include animal management duties, local law enforcement, and other operations as directed.
Oversee the delivery of animal management services and other Community Safety related services.
This is a full-time temporary position (special project) until September 2026, with a salary range between $95,565 and $104,167 per annum, plus superannuation.
Support work-life balance with a fortnightly or monthly rostered day off and hybrid working arrangements.
Experience and skills we’re looking for
Extensive industry experience and/or relevant qualifications in Legislation Enforcement, Local Laws, and Operations Management.
Strong focus on people management, relationship building, and problem-solving.
Ability to manage time efficiently and lead change.
Degree in Law or equivalent, or extensive relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience with the enforcement of the Road Safety Road Rules or willingness to learn.
