Pinpoint Talent is seeking an experienced Assistant Director – Work, Health and Wellbeing to join on a 6 month contract with one of our ACT State Government clients in Canberra. Reporting to the Director – Work Health and Safety, you’ll lead and support the WHS team and wellbeing initiatives, provide expert advice across the agency, and ensure compliance with legislative obligations and internal standards.

WFH Hybrid arrangement (2-3 days a week onsite)
From $650 per day + super

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement WHS and wellbeing initiatives aligned with ACTPS and legislative requirements
• Maintain and enhance the Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS)
• Partner with stakeholders to improve safety culture and outcomes
• Deliver training, lead safety briefings, and develop reports for senior leadership
• Provide operational advice and support WHS compliance across projects and sites

About You:

• Strong experience in WHS and wellbeing in public sector or construction/project environments
• Proven ability to lead strategic safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, influencing, and problem-solving in sensitive WHS matters
• High-level understanding of WHS legislation and practical application in diverse settings

Mandatory Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
• Driver’s Licence (Class C)
