About the role

Summer House Bistro' is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our thriving restaurant team in Birtinya, Queensland. As a Chef/ cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. This is a casual position, offering 20+ hours a week, including weekend rates

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a diverse range of high-quality dishes from scratch, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients

Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards

Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies

Ensuring a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef/ in a fast-paced, restaurant environment

Strong technical cooking skills with a passion for using fresh, seasonal produce

Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving abilities

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Relevant culinary qualifications or training
