Key Responsibilities

Prescription Preparation & Dispensing

Accurately fill and label prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.

Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all dispensing processes.

Provide clear, pharmacist-guided medication information to customers.

Inventory & Stock Management

Order, receive, and manage inventory of medicines and supplies.

Perform regular stocktakes; monitor expiry dates and maintain records.

Prepare Webster Packs for patients needing medication adherence support.

Customer Service & Patient Support

Offer friendly, knowledgeable service to every customer.

Assist with Medchecks and home medication reviews.

Help customers manage their prescriptions through Easy Script filing.

Arrange local same-day delivery and assist with online orders.

Health & Wellness Services

Support in-store health offerings such as BP checks, cholesterol tests, and vaccinations.

Collaborate with the in-store Nurse and Naturopath on patient care.

Adhere to Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) standards at all times.

General Duties & Compliance

Ensure daily operations meet company policies and pharmacy regulations.

Keep workspaces tidy and stock areas well-organized.

Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver exceptional service.

Skills and Experience Required

Minimum 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, dispensary, or similar healthcare setting.

Diploma or higher qualification in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Community Pharmacy Dispensary, or a related field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to interact with diverse customers in a respectful and supportive manner.

Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, especially in handling prescriptions and stock management.

Basic computer literacy (experience with dispensing systems like Fred or Minfos is highly desirable).

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

Knowledge of PBS claims, Schedule 8 medication protocols, and privacy legislation is an advantage.

First Aid certification and/or immunisation training would be viewed favourably but not essential.
