Responsibilities of the role:

• Implement Evidence-based Compliance and Compliance by Design approaches
• Facilitate compliance assessments across all regulatory obligations relevant to the division
• Support the business in conducting risk profile reviews and assessments
• Create and automate risk reporting processes for improved efficiency
• Work closely with different divisions subject matter experts to develop and execute risk management strategies
• Assist the first line in prioritising risk mitigation efforts
• Provide advice on risk and compliance considerations related to business strategies and plans
• Ensure proposed initiatives align with the organisation’s risk appetite, using a balanced and objective approach

What you'll need to succeed:

• Proven experience in Risk and Internal Audit functions within Financial Markets and/or Big 4, specifically supporting the Financial Services sector
• Excellent communication skills
• Skilled in designing and testing controls through internal control assurance, regulatory reviews, or internal audits
• Background in enhancing organisational resilience and assurance within highly automated environments is highly valued
• Strong stakeholder management skills and have a proven record of building effective relationships and engaging a wide range of stakeholders
• Experienced in planning, compiling, aggregating, and facilitating risk-related information and reporting (e.g. risk assessments, control testing)
• Familiar with operating in highly regulated environments, with the ability to assess compliance against regulatory requirements
