Your New Role
Reporting directly to the head of finance (Financial Controller) as the 2IC of the finance/accounting team, you'll take a hands on role in running the financial operations. Oversight of accounts payable and receivable (both off-shored), leading month end close, assisting with client reporting, running multi-state payroll for up to 100 staff, and ownership of the trust accounts for all Clients. This is a very broad role and even has scope to do business process improvement in an environment where you are encouraged to challenge the status quo, to innovate, and to problem solve.

Your Profile
You are a highly operational accountant who has a high attention to detail, outstanding communication skills - ability to interact well with sales, marketing, management, customers/clients, the ATO, ASIC, and offshore accountants. You thrive with a bit of support and equally given the trust and autonomy to do what you do best each day. You are a curious problem solver, with a solid understanding of debits/credits. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce is required. A formal post graduate qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA) is not essential but would be well regarded.

Experience with Xero or MYOB and trust accounting software would be ideal. Experience running payroll also a plus. We can also consider you if coming directly from an SME tax accounting firm or even SMSF environment wanting your first role in the corporate world.
