About this amazing opportunity:

Lead by a Commercial Manager who values curiosity and initiative, this role is focused on generating accurate accounting records, process improvement and other projects to help deliver efficiency and growth. Working with the Accounts Support on AR and AP, you will closely manage and control cashflow. The role is Head Office based with some flexibility to work from home and preferred full time, although part time may be considered.

You will enjoy learning new technologies and, in collaboration with the Commercial Manager, apply your knowledge of systems and business workflows to automate.

What it takes to be amazing in this role:

We are looking for a talented and motivated professional who is confident in all aspects of traditional management and financial accounting responsibilities including:

Cashflow management incl. trade finance

Import and export of inventory, as well as FX transactions

GL account reconciliations

Monthly profit & loss and balance sheet reporting

Monthly payroll incl. statutory requirements

Oversight of AP/AR and customer communication as needed

BAS preparation and submission

Commercial projects

Creating and improving processes and procedures

Creating and maintaining operational process data including workflows and videos

Liaise with tax consultants

Why you’re amazing!

You enjoy a culture of continuous improvement and honest communication and have:

· Min. 5+ years’ experience as a company accountant or similar

· An accounting qualification

· Proven experience in inventory and forex accounting

· High proficiency in MS Dynamics Business Central (Navision) and MS Excel

· Software proficiency, with the ability to leverage technology to automate processes

· A collaborative mindset, willing to work with stakeholders to drive improvement

· An uncompromising attitude to accuracy

· A strong knowledge of account receivable and payable

· Current working knowledge of tax and accounting legislation; and

· Are highly organized and able to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines

MS Power Automate and MS Power BI knowledge as well as experience in businesses selling to national retailers and exporting highly advantageous. CPA/CA accreditation is favourable but not essential.
