About the Position

Working within our Communications and Marketing team, the Communications Officer (Digital Media) is responsible for supporting and developing communications and marketing initiatives across the City and will primarily assist with the planning, development and implementation of digital communication platforms to support the City's service delivery.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or relevant work experience that could be equated to tertiary qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience managing an organisation's digital media platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of website content management, SEO and digital accessibility.
• Experience managing email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation and performance tracking.
• Strong expertise in digital communications and marketing, encompassing campaign development, content creation for digital and social media, advertising, print production, and promotional activities.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, and research skills, with the ability to craft and refine content tailored to diverse audiences in a clear and engaging manner.
• Skilled in digital content creation using videography and photography, and in using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for content creation.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data and apply insights to optimise marketing campaigns and inform decision making.
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the capability to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience using both Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
