Payroll Manager Opportunity

Are you an experienced Payroll Manager looking for the next stage of your career? Clarity Partners are working with a key client looking for their next Payroll leader to inspire a high performing team and take control of the payroll function at this ASX listed business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a large employee base.
• Lead, train, and develop the payroll team to maintain a high performance in line with company standards.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, local payroll tax regulations and labor laws.
• Manage the accurate processing of payroll deductions, benefits, garnishments, bonuses, and special payments.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and collaborate with accounting on month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee payroll system configuration, upgrades, and implementation of new processes and technologies.
• Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard payroll data and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare and file tax reports and other required filings.
• Monitor and audit payroll processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and accuracy.

Desirables

• 5+ years of payroll managerial experience preferably in a high volume environment with teams of over 3 reports.
• Proven process improvement and implementation experience.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• In depth knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance
• Familiar large payroll software (SAP, Chris 21, Pronto etc) and advanced Excel user.
• Advanced understanding of complex EBA's and awards.
