The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Workshop Assistant to support our fabrication team. This role is ideal for a semi-retired individual or someone with practical experience in fabrication and machinery operation. As a Workshop Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop by assisting with assembly processes, performing fabrication tasks, managing materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and handling local deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly Support: Assist in the assembly of electrical switchboards and related components.

Fabrication Tasks: Independently perform fabrication tasks using various tools and machinery.

Materials Management: Manage and organise materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.

Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, adhering to safety standards.

Local Deliveries: Handle the delivery of materials and finished products to local clients as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

Fabrication Experience: Previous experience in fabrication or a similar hands-on role.

Machinery Operation: Familiarity with operating workshop machinery and tools.

Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage materials and maintain an orderly workspace.

Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.

Driver's License: Valid driver's license for handling local deliveries.
