Workshop & Stores Assistant.

Roster: Monday - Friday - 6:00am / 7:00am – 2:45pm / 3:45pm (Mon-Thu), 6:00am / 7:00am – 11:00am / 12:00pm (Fri) ; 38 hours/week.
Work Location: 19 Southern Court, Keysborough, VIC 3173
Rate: $30.13 - $32.25 Per Hour (including causal loading) - (Manufacture award C113-C11)
Duration: 6 Months initial contract, with extension & permanent pathway opportunity.

Our valued client is in Keysborough & is protection/supervision electro-mechanical relay specialist who provides components & products to multiple key turn clients.

About the Role:
2XM are seeking a motivated and reliable Workshop & Stores Assistant to join our team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace while also providing support across stores and production areas.

You will play a key part in keeping the workshop running smoothly by ensuring tools, parts, and equipment are in the right place at the right time – and that our production technicians have the support they need to operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop area which contains numerous rail components.
• Support production technicians with general duties, including tool and material preparation.
• Conduct stock takes / checks & accurately complete computer inventory into computerised system.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and issuing parts and materials, plus deliveries & dispatch as required.
• Monitor and restock consumables and workshop supplies.
• Adhere to all WHS procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklifts (if licensed & as required).

Qualifications / Experience.

• Practical hands-on capability mindset.
• Proven onsite engineering / workshop environment experience.
• Ability to be pro-active, prioritise work tasks & capable of following direction plus working autonomously.
• VIC HRW LF Forklift License, advantageous but not essential.
• Partial completion of a trade is preferable.
