The Role & Business

Working as a Senior CA/Contracts Manager, you will be reporting to an experienced Construction Manager and Commercial Manager leading the commercial success of a high profile $50M project in the heart of Sydney. As a Contracts Manager you will be passionate about mentoring your Contract Team to deliver the project. You will have autonomy to drive all contract award decisions from procurement, letting subcontract trade packages, management of RFI's, variations and progress claims, EOT's and NoD's, Head Contract Management and Cost Reporting. This project requires a proven manager who can work independently enjoy setting the job up from the very start. It is critical that this project goes well for the buisness and you will be working with their best Project Manager who has been in the business 10+ years.

The Builder are a well-recognised and respected in Sydney and build commercial projects $20M - $50M and growing. They pride themselves on a strong culture and recognise people want to enjoy where they work and they are happy to facilitate as they feel this results in a productive workforce. The business hire on personality with the intention of investing heavily in training and mentoring so you can grow with the business long term - they are not a project to project company when it comes to hiring staff. Turning over in excess of $350M in NSW, they are best known for the delivery of Commercial projects across the Industrial sector of the industry. Typically working with Clients who are household names across Australia, they have an 85% repeat client base which ensures consistency of work and has insured the business against the worst of the current economic climate.

Qualifications & Experience

You will have finished a Bachelor of Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture

You will have a minimum of 8 years industry experience working for a recognised Contractor in Sydney in the commercial sector

Ideally worked on projects $10M+ from inception to completion

Demonstrate Longevity within your resume

Your key drivers will be about wanting to be part of something and work with professional people whilst building quality projects

Your attitude will be your biggest asset - you will be hard working, have a positive mindset and be eager to learn

You will have worked with good construction software exposure
