About the role

We are seeking an experienced 2IC/Restaurant Manager/Function Manager to join our dynamic team at The Orchard Hotel Chatswood. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel focusing on restaurant and function spaces, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the success of our hospitality business.

What you'll be doing

Managing the restaurant operations, including staff rostering, inventory control and financial management

Overseeing the planning and execution of functions and events, liaising with clients to deliver outstanding experiences

Providing leadership and guidance to the service team, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency

Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve the hotel's business objectives

Handle digital marketing

Evolving the drinks list focusing on cocktails

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar restaurant or function management role

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences

Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting

Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, including food safety and liquor licensing requirements

Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels
