About Active Edge Physio
Active Edge Physio is a transformative neurological and neuro-respiratory physiotherapy private practice that is passionate about helping people with neurological disabilities transform the way in which they live their lives. Many people struggle with losing confidence and control over their life after being diagnosed with a neurological disorder. At Active Edge Physio, we work to empower our patients and their support networks to build strength and resilience.
We bring world class care to our patients within the comfort of their chosen environment - whether that be their home, the gym, or the pool for aquatic physiotherapy. Our practice is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for a neurological physiotherapist who shares our passion and enthusiasm for patient centred care. We provide solely in-home care, and don’t have a physical practice location. All of our staff work from home. Our home visiting radius currently spans the inner, northern, southern and outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity is currently available for experienced adult neurological physiotherapist to join our team. We are seeking applications for both part time and full time positions, with at least 2 days per week of availability. We understand that everyone’s life schedules are unique and it is our mission to help our team to achieve the perfect work-life balance.
Work alongside and learn from our physiotherapists with a vast range of experience. We have a highly experienced team of physiotherapists who are passionate about treating TBI, SCI, stroke, MS, neuromuscular disorders, cerebral palsy and more.
We are the only private service in Melbourne who specialise in managing patients with complex neuro-respiratory conditions including working with ventilated patients, tracheostomies, carrying out complex weaning programs in collaboration with VRSS at Austin Health, prescribing high cost assistive technology and playing key multidisciplinary leadership roles in managing complex clinical presentations. We are a participating site in an upcoming physiotherapy research project in the area of respiratory management in motor neurone disease. We also are passionate about empowering and upskilling our colleagues with our Neuro Respiratory Physiotherapy Academy (nrpacademy.com.au).
Our workload is very broad - from patients with the mildest symptoms to those with highly complex disabilities. You will be supported to work within your comfort zone but also encouraged to build your skills with lots of clinical support, supervision and mentoring.
Our culture prioritises and encourages the open sharing of knowledge and team discussion during regular in-house PD sessions, and we pride ourselves in genuinely supporting each other to continually develop our expertise and skills so that we can provide the best possible service to the patients and families we work with.
Benefits of Working with us:
Generous remuneration commensurate with clinical expertise and skills - excellent pay package which includes travel and professional development allowance
Flexible working - we encourage wellbeing, you will manage your own schedule and we will support you to thrive in your role
A vibrant, caring, supportive and ambitious team
A genuinely understanding and family friendly workplace
Work alongside and learn from clinicians at the top of their field - enrich your skills with our in-house professional development (including full access to the Neuro Respiratory Physiotherapy Academy courses) and clinical mentoring programs
Full admin support so that you can focus on delivering clinical care
