About the Role
The waste levy is South Australia’s primary economic instrument applied to waste disposal in order to promote waste avoidance, resource recovery and recycling. The Senior Waste Levy and Data Adviser is accountable to the Manager Circular Economy and Waste within the Circular Economy and Waste Branch, and is responsible for leading a small waste levy audit team in the development, administration and review of a state-wide program designed to monitor and audit compliance with the Environment Protection Regulations 2009 ensuring the reporting of waste levies are complete and accurate.
The Senior Waste Levy and Data Adviser:
Is a key source of expert advice in relation to waste levy.
Provides high quality professional verbal and written communication to a range of stakeholders.
Has a leadership role in developing and implementing processes for the auditing and collection of waste levy.
Implements the relevant statutory requirements of the EP Act.

Desirable Qualifications
Experience in environmental assessment and protection, compliance auditing, financial auditing or investigation techniques and evidentiary procedures.
Remuneration
ASO6 ($98,478- $104,165 per annum) + 11.5% super added to your choice of super fund.
