About the Role
As a Part-Time Accounts Officer, you will be tasked with accurately preparing and consolidating the company’s financial accounts in compliance with statutory regulations and internal guidelines, ensuring timely and precise reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Receivables Management: Overseeing the daily receivables inbox, following up on overdue accounts, and preparing the weekly overdue debtors report.
• Reporting and Reconciliation: Completing monthly aged debtors reconciliations and preparing key financial reports like BAS, FBT, and monthly income tax.
• Customer and Supplier Operations: Processing customer credits, credit applications, recharge invoices, and supplier invoices while ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Month-End Excellence: Managing tasks to meet deadlines, conducting G/L reconciliations, and preparing month-end packs for review.
• Audit and Compliance: Supporting internal controls, conducting monthly self-audits, and supplying information for external audits.
• Ad-Hoc Projects: Contributing to special projects as directed by the Finance Manager.

Required Skills

• A completed (or in-progress) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Sound financial acumen and knowledge of accounting principles.
• A knack for accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
