Ready to be part of a dynamic team that keeps Amazon's operations running smoothly? We're seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our Sydney team, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our facility's equipment operates at peak performance while maintaining the highest safety standards.
The Maintenance Technician will be part of our dedicated maintenance team at our new Delivery Station in Chullora, Sydney. This role focuses on performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring optimal operation of our material handling systems. You'll work alongside experienced technicians and supervisors in a collaborative environment that values safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Please note that the current shift pattern includes 10-hour shifts x 4 days and one day working during the weekend. Sunday to Wednesday | Wednesday to Saturday.
The expected start date is in July 2025.
Key job responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.
Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
Basic Qualifications
Formal Trade Qualification: Served a full Apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualified to a minimum of Certificate 3.
Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia.
Industrial maintenance experience.
Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.
Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.

Experience with sortation machines.
Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.
