My client is a fast growing Top AFR Chartered Accounting firm in North Sydney who are seeking an Assistant Manager OR Manager. They are a modern, cloud-based accounting and advisory firm and have developed a strong reputation in the marketplace demonstrated by a growing client base ranging across SMEs, large consolidated groups, international companies, start-ups, family groups, investments and HWNIs.

Reporting to the Partner, you’ll be working in a compliance and review capacity with exposure to advisory projects. This role will require you to be involved closely with your clients in order to facilitate their compliance requirements and to achieve their business objectives through value-add/advisory services.

Some responsibilities include:

Assisting Partner to manage a portfolio of clients

Training and overseeing the work of juniors

Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, SMSFs, group structures and international clients.

Attending to common taxation matters including Div7A, GST, FBT, CGT, PSI, etc

Working with clients on business decisions and advising them on structuring, asset protection, identifying risks and exposures and tax minimisation strategies.

Applicants

Assistant Manager: Minimum 5 years' exp. in business services and tax

Manager: Minimum 6 years' exp. in business services and tax

Experience working in Senior Accountant or Supervisor/Assistant Manager capacity

CA/CPA qualified

Excellent written and verbal communication skills due to the client facing nature of role

Demonstrate strong leadership and rapport building skills
