This role is an integral part of the Management Team and will play a key role in product improvement and quality management and intellectual property management.
Key Accountabilities or Activities Include key measures and outputs (how the performance of the incumbent is to be objectively measured using qualitative or quantitative data).
· Product Development
o Lead a team in conjunction with our MD to design, refine and commercialise mining consumables (specific focus on ground support and geotechnical products)
o Full product development lifecycle experience required
o Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with business goals and market dynamics of the products developed.
· Quality Assurance
o Implement and manage QA QC procedures for new products
o Manage the QA QC process for product received from our suppliers
o Last port of call for all NCR requirements.
· Supplier and Factory Liaison
o Collaborate with our overseas manufacturers, manage the sourcing strategy and oversee product quality and compliance.
· Process & Operational Improvement
o Shipping and QC processes
o Packaging requirements
o Process review
· Technical Communication
o Technical reporting, including product quality testing, pull test reports
o Marketing brochure
o Technical data sheets
o Client presentations.
· Reporting
o Geotechnical reporting inclusive of pull testing or technical reporting on trial and existing products
· Market Research
o Understanding of the ground support market
o Market research on competitor product inclusive of cost benefit analysis
· Develop strong partnerships with HO and Site stakeholders as well as customers and suppliers to ensure delivery against short, medium and long term strategic objectives.
· Demonstrable value adding to the business through the provision of professional services and related behaviours.
· Any other requirements as directed by the General Manager or Managing Director
Safety, Health, Environment and Community (SHEC)
· Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times
· Comply with the group’s standards and procedures in SHEC.
· Promote awareness of SHEC practices.
· Reporting of all SHEC incidents.
Position Required Capabilities
Skills:
Strong numerical reasoning and analytical skills
Ability to manipuate and interpret data and present findings concisely
Financial modelling skills
Stong Excel and Powerpoint skills
Strong communication, time management and organisation skills to ensure customer service (both Group office and site) and deliverables are met
Thoroughness in completing and checking tasks, attention to detail
Influencing skills
Negotiation and facilitation skills
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
· Ability to develop rapport, and build strong relationships with customers
