AWS Engineer

$150,000 – $170,000 + super (depending on experience)

Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for building scalable cloud platforms?

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing fibre network provider that delivers high-performance connectivity to enterprise, wholesale, and hyperscale customers across Australia. They’re scaling up their engineering team to support a series of high-impact projects, and we’re on the hunt for a talented AWS Engineer to join their tight-knit, forward-thinking crew.

This is a great opportunity to work on a cutting-edge AWS-based platform, driving automation, performance, and innovation across the board. You'll get to shape the architecture, own deployments, and work across the full software lifecycle in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you’ll be doing:

Designing, building, deploying and maintaining AWS-based infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, ELB, etc.)

Developing applications using Python, Node.js, Java, or similar languages

Troubleshooting complex systems and supporting production environments

Collaborating with software, ops, and customer teams to improve performance and reliability

Driving automation and DevOps practices to streamline delivery

Writing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides

Championing best practices across code, security, and CI/CD

What we’re looking for:

Strong AWS experience and understanding of cloud architecture

Solid coding background – Python, Java, Node.js or similar

Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies

Confident troubleshooting skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments

Experience with Linux or Windows server environments

Git version control experience

Telecom industry experience (especially dark fibre) is a big bonus
