Project Manager – Tax

• $180k - $190k + super + bonus

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager (Tax) to manage tax product-related client projects. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a fast-paced, growing environment and lead projects that are critical to client success. You will oversee a cross-functional team, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery using Agile methodologies.

• Lead the implementation of tax-related client projects, ensuring key milestones and budget targets are achieved.
• Collaborate directly with clients to align solution design with expectations and ensure seamless execution of implementation plans.
• Manage project timelines and financials in partnership with the Product Manager and Technology Scrum Master.
• Oversee risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes to ensure delivery remains on track.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, managing expectations and delivering on contractual commitments.
• Motivate and lead cross-functional teams across both business and technology functions.

The Person

We are looking for a client-facing Project Manager with experience in fast-paced environments and strong project delivery skills. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in business-side, client-facing project management (not technical project management).
• Proven experience in the tax domain, ideally with knowledge across wealth management, superannuation, or investment trusts.
• A strong history of building client relationships and successfully delivering large-scale projects within time and budget constraints.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end project lifecycle.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to manage C-suite stakeholders as well as complex stakeholders across multiple time zones.
• Confidence in delivering presentations and communicating project progress at all levels.
• Experience working on Software projects.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on ownership, delivery, and problem-solving.
• Recognised project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
